How are the suncatchers made?
Fine quality of American made stained glass is used in the construction of the butterfly suncatchers. Each color of glass is individually cut, the edges smoothed and fit into place. These pieces are then wrapped in copper foil and then soldered together with the other pieces of glass. The suncatcher is then finished with decorative hand soldering work.
The suncatcher can be washed in ordinary dish detergent or a glass cleaner. You also might want to occasionally polish the glass and the silver soldering work with a coat of auto polish. This will brighten the piece and remove any fingerprints.
How are the painted metal tropical fish designs made?
All of the hand painted metal butterfly designs have been hand cut from recycled 55 gallon steel drum material. This is not thin sheet metal. The design is drawn onto a flattened steel drum and is hand cut by a talented metal artist with a hammer and chisel. Prior the the artistic painting, the metal is sealed with rust preventive paint. Finally, one of our skilled artist hand paints the details of the butterfly. A final seal of protective varnish is applied.

We accept all major credit cards, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Credit card orders will be charged at the time of shipment. We also accept payment through PayPal. PayPal payments are charged at the time that you place your order. These options are shown or your order form. All transactions are done over our secure server.
What are the company shipping & return policies?
Butterflly Decor products are shipped from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
In the event you determine that the product is not what you ordered or you see visible damage, please email Butterfly Decor to report damage within 72 hours of receipt of goods .
Returns - Exchanges
We try to describe our products well, but if you receive your order and decide to return it, please email us. We can refund the cost of the item, but we can not refund the shipping costs. You can send the item back. Upon receipt of the item, we will refund you less the original shipping costs less a $5.00 or 15% restocking fee, whichever is greater. Returns/Exchanges must be made within 10 days of reciept of order.
Shipping Time
Because all of our products are handmade, orders are normally shipped within 1 - 3 weeks of receipt of the order, sometimes sooner.
